Two ways

“I wish things didn’t have to go this way”

Things only go a specific way, if you let them

You have the power to make things different

At any moment you can fix things and make the change

It just takes effort, but the effort goes two ways

So if the other person isn’t listening to what you have to say, and they won’t make an effort to understand you

Then I guess things did “have to go this way”

It’s a horrible feeling when someone knows your upset, and doesn’t make you feel secure in the relationship

You loved them so much, that you hoped for a change

But nothing came

The one you wanted to be with

Ends up being the one you weren’t meant to be with

And that’s the biggest heartbreak

Because if they truly loved you

They wouldn’t have let you feel lost in the relationship

It’s the way love works

If they truly loved you they would talk about it with you, and make sure you feel secure in the relationship.
