twirl in the light tiny dancer
a carousel pony show poem
tiny dancer,
tiny dancer
no match to quicksand
wisdom behind green eyes,
always the leader of the band
mirror mirror on the wall
she will look to you when she falls
cadillac to concrete
designer shades that effortly conceal,
another surface bleed
left to heal
empty square feet
full of new beginnings
perseverant armor
careful to lower her shield,
so back home her children stay grinning
tragedy in the form of a storm
through the down pouring rain,
her gentle heart remains untorn
flickering candles beside the bed,
intrusive thoughts in her head
spin tiny dancer,
twirl in the night
for you know too,
this is just another plight
the charred floor remains,
your magnificent stage
an exotic bird
no longer in a cage
spin tiny dancer,
remember you are no match to quicksand
more a resemblance
of an exquisite soul
an incredibly profound brand
