To Swim With A Selkie
And To See True Beauty
In some words, a sonnet for my Muse

To Swim With You In Your Selkie Skin
To See Your Beauty In Blue Waters
Graceful You Are, Without And Within
Under The Moon, We Come To The Shore

Shedding Your Selkie Skin, You're With Me
More Beautiful Than Ever You Are
In Your Eyes, There's Happiness I See
We Are Always In Each Other's Hearts

I Know There' Times That You Must Swim Free
But Our Hearts Will Keep Us Together
It's Always Your Selkie Self And Me
You Know For Sure I'm Yours Forever

Let's Swim Together In Rolling Waves
My Selkie Love Set's My Heart Aflame

I'm really digging that thumbnail, Mike. Pretty dope. It's a nice love song about somebody falling in love with a selkie. Reminds me of a old story I heard from long ago. In that story a woman marries a selkie and she had a son with him, and she never let's her son go swimming because she's afraid that he'll never return. In the end, she has to though to rescue her husband cause he's on a boat at sea without his suit. So, the son reacues the father, along with the rest of the crew, but the son is still at sea. Would You ever make a poem based on that story, Mike?
Great work! Fantastic and well written! Swimming!
Hard to say which I liked better, the poem or the song--& I loved the song!
