To Be Your Family

This is a 16 line poem. Composed of four heroic couplets (rhyming iambic pentameter ). Below are my {shoutouts } as usual. The list includes all who were not mentioned in my previous piece, to make it fair. My love will continue to extend to all πŸ™πŸ½πŸŒΉ (Roots and Branches Challenge )

And if I may be thin like paper leaves

That place awaits me in the tree sleeves

-πŸͺΎπŸŒ³πŸπŸ‚

Though birds go high so I will start to fly

I won’t be low in mind under the sky

--πŸͺΎπŸŒ³πŸπŸ‚

Say you love me like the birds of the tree

Though you say blood is all you see

--πŸͺΎπŸŒ³πŸπŸ‚

My arms are wide open to you so be

For I will wait to be your family

*

I will spread out my arms like a bird

Then you will cry no more when you are stirred

--πŸͺΎπŸŒ³πŸπŸ‚

Come sit upon my bed that I may prove

My love for you will never be removed

--πŸͺΎπŸŒ³πŸπŸ‚

My eyes my face may be different but I

But I see the beauty as the tears go by

--πŸͺΎπŸŒ³πŸπŸ‚

So cry my dear one, now you have found love

You shine so brightly in my eyes oh dove
