Time To Start Fresh!

A walk in the park.

In the heart of Lagos, where the city's pulse beats strong,

A man named Ade, weary, decided to move along.

His past trailed behind him, a ghost he couldn't shake,

So he chose to begin anew, a life he'd remake.

With a leash in his hand and a loyal friend at his side,

Ade strolled through the park, his worries set aside.

The sun dipped low, casting a golden hue,

As he and his dog explored, skies of azure blue.

Under the shade of tall trees, whispers of a fresh start,

A breeze whispered promises to mend his weary heart.

The dog, a faithful companion, wagged its tail with glee,

As Ade marveled at the beauty of life, wild and free.

In the midst of the park, he found a quiet bench,

Where the world seemed to pause, leaving him in a trench.

Reflecting on the choices, the lessons of the past,

Ade realized he was free, unshackled at last.

With each step in the park, a burden lifted high,

His spirit rekindled, like the flame in the sky.

The city's chaos faded, replaced by nature's song,

As Ade and his dog embraced the day, headlong.

But as shadows grew long, and the daylight waned,

A sweet aroma beckoned, a temptation unexplained.

An ice cream cart stood, colors vivid and bright,

Ade's eyes sparkled, a childlike delight.

He approached with a smile, ordered a cup of delight,

Vanilla and chocolate swirled, a taste just right.

With each spoonful of sweetness, he let go of the past,

A second chance granted, a moment meant to last.

Under the stars' gentle twinkle, Ade stood tall,

His dog by his side, companions in a freefall.

With a cup in his hand and a heart full of dream,

He yearned for one more scoop, another ice cream.

So, he savored the flavors, embraced the cold treat,

Before turning homeward, his journey complete.

With a heart now unburdened and steps full of gleam,

Ade walked into the night, his soul redeemed.

Ade and his loyal companion, a dog named Simba,

Walked back home, beneath the moon's soft umbrella.

Their steps echoed through the quiet Lagos night,

A bond forged in the park, a new chapter in sight.

Home, a haven of warmth, greeted them with grace,

As Simba wagged his tail, excitement on his face.

Ade prepared a hearty meal, jollof rice so divine,

The aroma filled the air, a taste of love and time.

With a plate in his hand, and Simba at his side,

They settled by the TV, ready for the evening tide.

A football match unfolded, a spectacle so grand,

Ade and Simba cheered, a joyous, united band.

Jollof rice in hand, they savored every bite,

A celebration of life, under the soft, glowing light.

The match played on, emotions in the air,

Cheers and laughter, a bond beyond compare.

As the final whistle blew, and the game took a bow,

Ade and Simba took a quick bath, feeling the glow.

Fresh and rejuvenated, they prepared for the bed,

Ade fluffed the pillows, thoughts of joy in his head.

Under cozy blankets, a shared space so sweet,

Ade and Simba snuggled, their hearts in sync, a beat.

Dreams danced in their minds, of adventures anew,

As they slept with anticipation, the night a gentle cue.

The next day awaited, a canvas yet to unfold,

With Simba by his side, and stories yet untold.

They turned off the lamp, darkness embraced the room,

Ade whispered to Simba, "Tomorrow, let's resume."

As the lamp's glow faded, and silence took command,

Ade and Simba drifted into dreams, hand in hand.

In the quiet of the night, under the moonbeam,

They rested, knowing tomorrow held a new dream.
