Through My Lens Alone

A Photographer's Memoir to Herself

Click.

A single picture.

A single moment.

A single memory.

Now frozen in time,

only to be looked upon in reflection.

As a photographer,

photographs are more than a simple pose

or image to be shared on to social media.

Photography is an art.

The capturing of colour, light, movement, portrait, scenery;

the list goes on and on.

Photography is a way of expression,

to capture the world and all of its beauty,

through the means of a camera and

nothing more.

A small window into an artist’s soul,

if you will.

So, the next time you want to know who or what

a photographer loves,

look at the subject in which they photograph.

A single image

can tell so much more if you simply take the time

to admire it.

Admire what I see,

through my lens alone.
