We are trying

Covid Patients breathing through tubes from the ICU

Immune system needs to choose whether to live or die

Closed doors, Stale walls staring at me

Laying in my bed with boredom

This boredom is killing me

Eyes can't take from the media

Things are taking a medium

No families

No friends

I forget what day it is

What am I supposed to do?

Beg and Plead

I have waited long for this to end

So sick and tired of playing pretend
