These Times
A Cultural Curse
Woe to those who said, “We shouldn’t”
Yet now they say, “We should”
The one’s who once said evil’s bad
But now they say it’s good
We can’t exchange what God calls wrong
And somehow make it right
We cannot take what’s clearly dark
And tell the world it’s bright
They call it “Progress,” say “We’ve grown”
That, “Morals hold us back”
And those who say we’re getting worse
Well, that’s who they’ll attack
What God condemned right from the start
It’s still wrong in the end
But when some can’t accept His truth
The truth they’ll try to bend
See, nations full of decadence
Without a moral bone
They’re basically the walking dead
As history has shown
The Roman Empire, Babylon
Old Greece and Sodom too
They each went down a crooked path
And soon enough, were through
So here’s the warning, lend an ear
It’s best to turn around
Before God’s judgment finds a home
Like other cultures found
A people grounded in the truth
Create a nation strong
The nations who turn truth away
They seldom last for long
