Then & Now

When my world was in chaos, I took an air tank and dove deep before surfacing again.

Then found you, my nitrogen gas, and you gave me the bends.

When my world fell into pandemonium, I soaked my lungs in gasoline, but never swallowed a match.

Then found you, my potassium chlorate, sparking my lungs into a pile of ash.

That was then, this is now.

Now, my world is at peace.

I have reason to believe, it is because you are nowhere to be found.

The absence of the catalyst to misfortune, can turn a life around.
