The Year of Follow Through
Getting 2023 off to a good start.
Some music to set the mood!
Let 2023 be the year
Of follow through
Not abandonment and procrastination
Of self-belief and achievement
Not self-doubt and inaction
Of writing and writing and more writing
Not just talking about writing
Of moving forwards
Not sliding backwards
Of being positive
Not giving in to negativity
Of learning from mistakes
Not making the same poor decisions
Of looking at constructive failure
Not paying attention to destructive criticism and feedback
Of working hard on the things that matter in life
Not wasting time on the things that don't

I had a rough plan when I started writing again on Vocal during the last few weeks of 2022 that when January 1st came I would try to write at least one thing a day that was not for clients, to submit to Vocal.
As I am fully aware that it is a tall order, I had intended on getting the above poem out early doors after midnight GMT, so I could get one in one the 1st, but things happened and life got in the way. But here it is all the same and as I am submitting it on the 1st, it still fits in with my original plan.

Love it! I'm really enjoying your *own* writing journey. I'm sure your clients are really lucky to get you for their projects, but it's even better that you're able to put out your own stuff now too 😀 And Journey's Don't Stop Believing feels so on point! x
So glad you got this one out today! It is a tall order, but you have the right mindset. Your fellow fb group members will be cheering you on :)
That definitely works for me , and not a fan of Journey but "Don't Stop Believin'" is good , especially when it was used to end The Sopranos
