I wake in the morning. I take a deep breath.

I brush my teeth. I make friends with death.

I say, "What a day!" And he says, "It's true."

"Go make the best of it. The skies are all blue."

I run for the door as I flick off the light.

The world is alive the mountains a sight.

I don't want to work a job I don't like.

Today I think I will go for a hike.

I might do this. I might do that.

Now is the time and the world is not flat.

I'm opening my voice so you can hear me shout.

You can't have my soul. I know what I'm about.

Listen up world, I'm not gonna play

Your silly head game, I only will slay.

A kiss on your cheek with nothing but love.

His peace rests on me, just like the dove.
