Coaster under glass
catches sliding sweat droplets
from icy goblets
An entry for a creative, fun challenge of picking a random, mundane object and writing a poem about it in the 5-7-5 format.

Living here in Florida I’ve spent many lazy afternoons watching idly as icy pearls of condensation slide down my glass…Great job Andrea!
loved your use of the term goblets - never hear that word enough these days
Everything can be so inspiring even the coaster
Love the rhyme you incorporated! Very clever and fun to read!
Oh wow, thanks so much Paul!!
Oh this is lovely...I think because...it conjures up a fair few different images...different stories could be derived from just those three eloquent lines. the rhyming is brilliant and in my head I'm now thinking is it first date sweat nerves or maybe serious conversation sweat nerves or maybe it's a business pitch situation...see...I'm now digging into the backstory lol based on just three lines - nicely done, Andrea!
I enjoyed your story.
Oooo, this was fantastic! Loved it so much!
