The Weight of Words

The weight of words we cannot see

The power they hold within their plea

They have the power to hurt or heal

To make one feel alive or steal

With every word that we do say

We should consider them in every way

For with each sentence that we form

We have the power to create a storm

Our words can build or break apart

The very essence of a heart

They can inspire or bring us down

With every word that we do sound

So let us choose our words with care

And know the power that we share

For every word that we do say

Has the power to shape the day

Let our words be kind and true

And let us always think them through

For the weight of words is heavy indeed

But with great responsibility, they can lead.
