The way your wavy hair
Ideal womanhood
The way your wavy hair float down to your shoulder,
Always in place every single threat,
Nicely turned out.
Your gentle smile breaking any ice,
Just there to makes us feel warm and secure,
To announce your arrival.
Your passion for the ukulele,
Resembles your support for the underclass,
The forgotten and the left behind
You look safe and strong and stable,
Know your own mind
And in your modesty and sweetness
Find your way around the world in which you are.
Living in a world of hope and joy and soon
Enough we find what we need and the way we see it
And what you decide is often the way forward.
There is a strength in that gentle, retirement,
A strength that will pull you through
And make you each day more who you are and who you are meant to be
About the Creator
Jeannine Kauffmann
Poetry writer in the early morning. Poetry as a wake up call. Then later I draw lines and colours. I have a page on Instagram my art other than words although it contains words too. Titles are important to finish a piece like a full stop.
