The Vampire

And he had traveled through much

time and space

to find her

And he gazed upon her

and he knew that he wanted her

more than any of the others

But she knew she was safe from him

for she knew that the vampire could not enter her room

unless she invited him in

And thus he would never have her in the way he desired her

or even know her touch

for she would never invite him into her room

He would use all forms of trickery to touch her heart

and try to get her to invite him in

but none would work because she possessed the knowledge to deny him

And she would look out her window

and see him staring in at her

for that was all he could do because she was safe from him

She thought to herself that he seemed somewhat pathetic

and she even felt sorry for him

for he seemed so alone out there

But he was a vampire

after all

So alone.
