The unkind atrocity of kindness
Disgrace blooms on the kiln of lustred lies, The universe whispers until it beats the drum in frantic sighs.
The unkind atrocity of kindness
On nights that are filled with darkness and despair,
Where the blanket bites under the coldness of the swaying air.
Disgrace blooms on the kiln of lustred lies,
The universe whispers until it beats the drum in frantic sighs.
===============================================
Concealing our broken pieces of mellowed cries,
We see the radiance in the barren skies.
Dwindling with peonies of courage that we walk by,
Beholding the empathy that coerces to fortify.
Lamenting the loss of amorous birds of prey,
Tormented by the syllables recorded yet we choose to stay.
===============================================
For we still believe in the morsel of care they pour in our recital,
And they stand proudly to derive the love they entitle.
The unkind atrocity of kindness lays its icy hands,
Leaving us betrayed in a barren land.
The love that our kindness offers have suffered suffice,
Every ounce of our empathetic act now comes with a price.
===============================================
Gulping the pain that was fed to us,
We create barriers around our hearts.
Fear the day you made a good spirit feel unkind,
Your skies may not be lost in the ugliness of gloom,
Or transcend into a never-ending doom.
But the warmth of our kindness may never look behind.
