The time wasted was not a waste.
"An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest." -Benjamin Franklin
Tired feet,
trudging through think, flooded rooms.
Bustling people,
talking, breathing, sleeping.
Concrete walks take us to other places,
moving through rooms confused with knowledge.
Mostly unused spaces,
crammed tight with things unneeded.
We wait for paper airplanes to come to our doorsteps,
affirming our worth with words.
Time invested.
It is necessary, and needed.
Or is it?
The walls and walks, and friendly talks,
mean something to me now.
Knowledge gained,
but mostly forgotten.
Money and time invested,
memories made and friendships saved.
My life was changed,
forever by those days.
I didn't get
my paper airplane.
I got something better.
