The Thorns Beneath Her Smile
She wore a grin like crimson lace,
She had a secret stitch on her face.
A gentle sting, with each word,
sweet and piercing as anything.
To hear her speak, they gathered near her,
I had no idea that wolves might dress modestly.
A somber, seductive melody
They never saw the thorns she filed.
She put a bow on her kindness,
And buried hurt where none would know.
Her gaze is divine, her laugh is a bell, However, shadows clung to each line.
She flourished in lies-laden gardens, with red roses as indicators of danger.
They touched her once, and bled a while
Her smile shows the cost of thorns.
She didn't ask to be loved, Just watched them fall, then closed the door.
Designed from something wild, not cruel
A girl of grace, and sorrow styled.
