The day breaks,
my mind aches,
who knows what is going to happen
today.
3 alarms later,
2 cups of coffee,
1 lost soul.
Roll out of bed,
what's going on with my head,
ugh I'm going to be late
today.
3 items for breakfast,
2 outfit changes,
1 shower.
Out the door,
not sure what for,
Siri where am I going
today?
3 jobs,
2 trains,
1 day.
The rat race is real,
even if you steal,
just a moment of alone time
today.
3 paychecks,
2 many bills to count,
1 months rent.
Are we all on the wheel,
least that's how I feel,
believing that THE day is
today.
3 days on,
2 days on,
1 day of rest.
No days off,
unless you have a cough,
which absolutely can't be
today.
3 meals a day,
2 snacks,
1 glass of wine.
Who can afford this,
it is my wish,
that "one day" is
today.
3 interviews,
2 callbacks,
1 shot.
Everday we're climbing,
or at least trying,
to achieve our #goals
today.
