"The Stairway Lies on the Whispering Winds"

Film Photography of my feet, by Tommy Mai

You know the feeling, we all know

Love fills your body, full to the brim

Your belly, your heart, your head, loins and lungs are filled with feelings

Butterflies escape through the dark tunnel that is your throat

to the tree tops in which they belong

Like R. Plant's voice, soaring to the highest heights and lowest lows

You just want to go to sleep, but something is stopping you.

"Echoing with laughter, does anybody remember laughter?"

Like the melatonin in the turkey, family encounters, a soft kiss goodnight

You go to sleep with that soft blanket of disregard

You forget whatever trials or tribulations you may have

You forget your weird dreams

You contemplate thoughts and things

You remember your place, you remember your divine timing

You remember "That lady we all know"

The one wearing the double denim set, with the hair and all it's volume

split ends

She's confusing herself, amusing herself, dividing her dividends

I pity her, but

I love her, because

"She's buying a Stairway to Heaven"
