The Smell Of A Freshly Baked Pie

Poem

By Mr AddyPublished 3 years ago • 1 min read

Amidst the warmth of a sun-kissed kitchen,

Where memories and flavors intertwine,

A scent, divine and utterly bewitching,

Unveils a tale, an aroma so fine.

The air, a canvas, painted with delight,

As tendrils of fragrance softly unfurl,

Whispering secrets of sweet, golden light,

That dance upon the senses, a sensory swirl.

Invisible arms embrace the very soul,

With whispers of comfort and tender care,

A melody of cinnamon and sugar's role,

That lingers in the heart, forever to share.

The essence of love, freshly baked with pride,

A symphony of flour, butter, and spice,

It weaves its magic, inviting us inside,

A gentle embrace that soothes and entices.

From the oven's embrace, a masterpiece born,

Golden crust adorned with sugary dew,

And with each gentle slice, a story's sworn,

As memories and flavors intertwine anew.

The taste, a revelation, pure and true,

A journey through time, a familiar embrace,

In each tender bite, a piece of you,

Unleashing emotions, an exquisite grace.

For in that humble pie, a world is contained,

Love, comfort, and moments so sweet,

A testament to the magic ingrained,

In the scent of a pie, a memory to greet.

So let us savor this gift, this edible art,

And cherish the moments it brings to the fore,

For in the smell of a freshly baked pie,

Lies a taste of love that will forever endure.
