It was painful what I did today

Staying quiet around you

Watching you longing for my tongue

At least, I should have teased you

And crack your ribs to brim cheer

At least, I should have said something

Like when you hungered for my words

Before you slept off out of tiredness

And woke up out of boredom

To see me leaving without a word!

How did I miss the sign?

How did you become so melancholic from your desire?

I am ashamed of my coyness

Truly, opportunity fades away in the hands of a timid soldier

And now I am here writing

Hoping that you would receive them

with understanding

Should in case my vocal cord sleeps out on you again...
