You Don't Need To Be Whole To Shine

The waning crescent moon whispers so low,

"You need not be complete to cast your light,"

In fragments, still you glow, still you bestow.

.

In twilight's embrace, soft shadows show,

A sliver, yet your presence fills the night,

The waning crescent moon whispers so low.

.

In shadowed hours, you’re someone’s hero,

In parting and in pieces, still so bright,

In fragments, still you glow, still you bestow.

.

The stars bear witness to your tender halo,

A broken form can still be pure and right,

The waning crescent moon whispers so low.

.

Though darkness spreads, your strength begins to grow,

In crescent curves, a beacon in the night,

In fragments, still you glow, still you bestow.

.

From tender glimpses, boundless love shall flow,

Embrace the phase, and let your soul take flight,

The waning crescent moon whispers so low,

In fragments, still you glow, still you bestow.
