The shoe

A free-verse poem about shoes but instead, every line makes the story's meaning deeper.

In each sole's tread, a journey unfolds,

Threads of experiences woven, untold.

Laces tied tight, to anchor the soul,

Stepping through trials, to reach the goal.

Heels that echo with the weight of strides,

Carrying burdens, where shadows hide.

In every scuff, a mark of resilience,

A testament to endurance's brilliance.

Leather weathered by the passage of time,

Memories etched in every crease and line.

Each pair a witness to life's fleeting dance,

Grounded in purpose, with every chance.

From polished oxfords to worn-out boots,

They bear witness to life's varied routes.

In their silent presence, stories abide,

Echoes of journeys, tucked inside.

So let each shoe speak of paths they've trod,

Of the highs and lows, the near and abroad.

For in their simplicity, they hold the key,

To the depth of human experience, for all to see.
