The Search

In the company of strangers, there is a togetherness that we all share.

A shared commonality of a perceived goal.

It is what we have gathered together for. Though the goal differs for all involved.

This community of strangers, from all walks of life, pursuing a state of mind that others can only guess at.

Outsiders, looking at our community with shaking heads and shrugging shoulders.

They have no clue, nor can we explain it to them. This thing that we dedicate so much of our lives to. Only to grasp it on rare occasions.

Some don’t even realize what it is that they search for. Though their soul is no less satisfied.

Even if I could bottle it, I wouldn’t. For the searching is a nessasary part of ever hoping to find it.

And on the rare occasion that it falls into my grasp, it easily slips away. Fickle as it is.
