The Sea in Your Eyes

Pablo Neruda's Tempestuous Heart

The sea in your eyes, once calm and azure-bright,

Now churns with storm, reflecting sorrow's might.

My touch, a shipwreck on your heart's rough shore,

Leaving shattered remnants, washed ashore.

Waves of longing pound against the empty pier,

Where stolen kisses once dissolved into clear air.

The moon, a witness, paints the silver sand,

With memories that taunt, like grains of shifting sand.

Will the tempest subside, leaving serenity's trace?

Can love rebuild, in this desolate space?

Or will the sea in your eyes forever rage,

A constant reminder of love's shipwreck on life's stage?
