Echoes of Unspoken Longing

We wandered through landscapes, painted in silence's hue,

Words unspoken, like whispers lost in skies of blue.

Each glance, a stolen poem, yearning to find its voice,

But fear of rejection stifled the language of our choice.

Now, across vast distances, your eyes remain unseen,

Leaving me with fragments, a story incomplete, unheard, mean.

Did your heart's sonnet whisper verses unspoken too?

Or did mine alone yearn, lost in translation, lost in you?

Will the wind ever carry echoes of what could have been?

Can unspoken poems find form, transcend the space between?

Or will this yearning remain, a melody untold,

Forever lost in translation, a story left cold?
