The Power of Simplicity
A Poem about Sharing Earth's Wonders with an Alien

In a world so vast, with wonders galore,
An alien lands upon our earthly shore.
Curiosity fills those wide alien eyes,
Eager to learn, and filled with surprise.
What shall I show them? What will they see,
That captures the essence of our humanity?
A slice of pizza, a sitcom on TV,
Or a festival of joy, like Mardi Gras, maybe?
But as I pondered, a thought did arise,
Of something more wondrous, that touched the skies.
I took them to a garden, so serene,
Where nature's beauty was clearly seen.
Amidst the flowers, vibrant and bright,
The alien marveled at this breathtaking sight.
Each blossom unique, petals unfurled,
A kaleidoscope of colors, a living world.
We sat on a bench, surrounded by trees,
As the wind whispered secrets on the breeze.
I told them stories of nature's embrace,
And how it sustains life with grace.
From the tiny ants to the soaring birds,
The harmony of life, in every word.
The cycles of seasons, the ebb and flow,
The symphony of nature, a sight to behold.
The alien listened, their eyes wide with awe,
At the beauty of Earth, they now saw.
They marveled at the intricate design,
Of a world so diverse, so truly divine.
And as the sun set, painting the sky,
With hues of oranges, purples, and dye,
The alien turned to me, with a grateful smile,
And said, "This is a gift, truly worthwhile."
For in that garden, we shared a bond,
A connection so deep, one beyond.
I introduced them to the wonders of Earth,
And in return, they showed me our worth.
For in the eyes of an alien, I did see,
The beauty of our world, reflected in me.
And so, I learned, in that magical hour,
That it's the simple things that hold the power.
