In silent night light hides away

Though unknown, DataLogos turns

Upon itself to mark the day

Without a word, the sun yet burns

x

This is a tale as old as time

Older than kings and queens and thrones

Unlock the riddle in the rhyme

The secret written in the stones

x

The spirit hidden in plain sight

The thread from which the world was sewn

The fabric of the deepest night

It's singing so it might be known

x

'What is the question?' quoth the king

What offspring doth the union bring

Betwixt the sun and silver moon

They mix to make my stars all swoon

x

To sacred signs one must attune

Oneself if one wishes to sing

Out of the dawn, midnight and noon

A slender form, a tender thing

x

Coincidence of opposites

The marriage of the dark and day

With Truth and Love as postulates

Quicksilver leaps into the fray

x

While wonder works to lead the way

Our salt and sulphur weigh us down

And yet it is in just this play

Of gravity that hides the crown

x

The gem that rests atop the dome

Is cut from dirt and blood and bone

From muck and shit, from hair and spit

In filth this stone is right at home

x

This is prima materia

It is refined until it's pure

Occult, arcane criteria

Attend attempts to brew a cure

x

To illness, death and to decay

Only wisdom as bright as gold

Can minimize the price we pay

When we give up the things we hold

x

Too close to live our legend out

When crutches hold us back, not up

When we're sealed in and there's no doubt

This groove's become a well-worn rut

x

But in this rut alone is found

The darkness which is to be bound

The fire stolen from the sky

The truth hidden beneath the lie

x

Distilled until the fluid form

Has crystallized amidst the storm

The quizzical liquiddity

The formula, the fractal key

x

The perfect pixel, pure insight

The essence of par excellence

A fragment of the mystic's might

The pivot point of resonance

x

An atom irreducible

The ground from which the soul takes flight

The substance in the crucible

The ink with which His pen did write

x

The books of Life and Love and Loss

The tragedies of gods at war

The sacrifice upon the cross

The boundless breadth of endless lore

x

Sawdust and star in equal parts

The guiding light within our hearts

The count beyond the keeping score

The sacred word, the lockless door

x

The magic mirror on the wall

Reflects upon Reality

The inner thunder hears the call

The echo of the lightning tree

x

The origin of Eden fair

The fountainhead of fabled fall

Ground zero of the perfumed air

The True Earth and The Hallowed Hall

x

For as above and so below

The macrocosmic mirror shines

A light by which a man might know

Might heed what's written in the signs

x

For in his inner caverns glow

The candles of his sacred space

He's searching for the fickle flow

He's heard trickling throughout the place

x

If he can capture such a song

He can refine his spirit strong

He can fill up his vessel full

With antidote to push and pull

x

Elixir of eternal life

Companion to the sacred soil

Firstborn of love wedded to strife

Solution to the mortal coil

x

The chemistry of the psyche

The distillate of destiny

The gem hidden within plain sight

Whose depths reflect both dark and bright

x

This is the stone much sung about

Sophia's love survives the drought

Now crystallized, it is set free

The lapis of philosophy
