The Orchard of Delights

Peter strolled through the orchard, plucking fruit with glee,

Savouring the taste of apples, bananas, and dates, you see.

But as he reached the edge of the orchard, a tree caught his eye,

It was tall and slender, with branches reaching up high.

And upon those branches hung sultanas, plump and gold,

Their shine in the sunlight, made Peter's heart grow bold.

He reached out to pluck one, and as soon as it touched his hand,

A strange sensation enveloped him, like a magic spell was cast on land.

It was as if his entire being was filled with joy and glee,

As if he had found the one thing that truly mattered, you see.

From that day on, he spent every moment in the orchard,

Savouring the taste of sultanas and all other fruit, never to be bored.

And as he grew old, he'd tell his kin with a smile,

The secret to a happy life is to seek out the fruit that is worthwhile.

So when you're in an orchard, and you spot a fruit so fine,

Don't hesitate, pluck it and let the taste be a taste divine.
