Sometimes a poem can impress you and touch you so deeply that the imagery stays with you for days. Thank you for stopping by my page and giving me a moment of your time. I hope my short poem will give you something to cherish for a while. It expresses a not-forgotten moment from our history.

Freedom

Rivers of blood in the burning mud,

Tears and sweat tear your face apart,

Screams in silence and bruises in the sand

Feels the oppressor’s anger in hand

Hit after hit, agony alone stands

Hate, only hate rises in no one’s land

Aiming for freedom like a caged hawk

The night reflects the walls of the dark

A Wolf´s Howling verses from Noah´s Ark:

Underneath the white sky, it´s truly black

No sound breaks the pain at the midnight clock

All the voices follow in the saddest song

While the clouds mirror the cotton field along

Breaking free by death in the morning’s gong.
