The Mother You Shouldn’t Be

Shauna Taylor, 40

This is her story

Made her children sick

Like a Hollywood flick

With non-existent illnesses

This is true Non- Fiction

Hard to grasp

But charged with conviction

Mother, if you can call her that

To 12 children

Eventually was sent to prison

Poisoning their baby bottles with insulin

Force fed pennies, nickels & dimes

Are only some of the horrific crimes

Two brothers lockd in a dog cage

Thrown around the room

It happened so often

It’s hard to imagine, these kids

Came from her womb

All siblings removed from her care

Seeing they were fragile

You couldn’t help but stare

Lack of food, they were weak

Prayers for a new life

They did seek

They were fed iron pills

Which caused liver damage

This course of action

Is so savage

Convicted of aggravated child abuse & neglect

12 years in prison

15 years of probation

She should be exposed

& her location

Tylenol was given often

In & out of hospital daily

How no doctor or nurse

Didn’t click to anything

Is gravely

Poisoning her infants inside

The hospital

To get away with this for so long

Is despicable

The father never around due to work

Could not figure out why his kids had

Severe medical issues

Without investigating further

The abuse continued

he said, he failed miserably

Felt daubed & destroyed

How do you think your children felt

They felt null n void

He failed to protect the children he had

He does not deserve the title

Of being called Dad
