With the setting of the sun

A stranger came to call

When the visit was done

He took my one and all

Leaving nothing but her shell

With the waning of the moon

I’m now living a life of hell

Hoping for the dawn to come soon

Looking at her lifeless eyes

Which are no longer reflecting pools

Crying over lost goodbyes

Feeling the air as it cools

Shaken to the core

Wishing for revenge

Wanting to even the score

An angel appears to avenge

Taking up a silver and gold sword

And gently touching my brow

The Angel gave their word

All this is true, I avow

Blinking my eyes to clear the haze

Surprised to see

The morning's rays

All about me

I wasn't planning on writing another poem today, but Oneg tagged me in a post, challenging me to write a poem/story for her prompt. Everyone knows I never turn down a flat-out challenge from my friends - if I can help it. <3

Now, I need to tag 2 people, so I will tag Cathy Holmes.
