Don’t worry, little darling.

Don’t you cry.

That monster you see

is only in your head.

Don’t you ever think

that you can ever be free

from the lies you weaved

in your mind.

Sing it with me, little darling.

Sing your lullaby!

I will be fine.

As long as the sun is high in the sky,

I am safe inside.

As long as the sun still shines on my path,

the monster in my head

stays in my mind.

As long as the sun is in the sky.

Don’t worry, little darling.

The things you see at night

are tricks played by your poor sight.

Don’t you ever cry.

You were never meant to fly.

Sing the lullaby, little darling.

I will be fine.

Once the sun is up high in the sky,

I can pretend to fly.

I am safe from the monster

that only lurks in the dark.

It feeds on fear.

It feeds on my fear.

Don’t worry, little darling.

The things we experience in the dark,

and the things that left marks

are only lies we weaved

in our minds.

So we sing until the sun is back

up high in the sky.

That monster that lurks in the dark

only lives in our minds.

It’s a lie we need to live by!

So one day we can fly!

It’s a lie we must tell.

The monster is in your head.
