The longing for a love that was never meant to be

A flame that once burned bright, now a distant memory

The pain still lingers like a wound that won't heal

The thought of you and what could have been, makes me feel

A love that was so pure, yet never meant to be

A future that was shattered, a reality I cannot see

The emptiness I feel, a void that cannot be filled

A love that was real, yet never truly fulfilled

The regret of what might have been, a constant ache inside

A longing for the moments that we shared, I cannot hide

A love that was so beautiful, yet never truly mine

The tears I cry, a testament to love that was divine.
