A love that was taken too soon,

Leaves a pain that will not heal.

Memories of what could have been,

Are now left to slowly steal.

The laughter and joy that once was,

Now replaced with endless tears.

The emptiness that fills my heart,

Is something I have to bear.

The thought of you is always there,

A constant ache in my soul.

The love we shared was pure and true,

But now it's a story that's old.

I'll hold on tight to every memory,

And the love that once we knew.

But the pain of losing you, my love,

Is something I will always do.

For a love that was taken too soon,

Leaves a scar that will never heal.

And the pain of losing you,

Is a love that I'll always feel.
