The List

Busy, Busy, Busy...

Divide up your day as follows:

Inform your boss that you will be coming in early.

Set aside an extra thirty minutes for traffic.

Take a moment to exercise (perhaps some yoga).

Recite your mantra...the kids are in the other room...

Accept that the kids need some attention (not your yoga).

Complain to yourself about the traffic, work and family.

Test your luck by coming in late the next day.

Inform you boss that it won't happen again.

Open up your laptop once you are at home...before anyone else.

Now...write?

A painful truth

Kendal I really appreciate this story/ poem! It's so relatable and enticing! It brought a smile to my face that I'm not the only one who lives this way! 😊

This poem is so relatable! I love how the idea of distraction plays into the poem, like the children usurping the speaker's attention to yoga and vice versa! Great job!
