In the heart of the wild, where the tall grasses grow,
There lived a lion, proud and strong, with a mane aglow.
He roamed the savannah, the king of all he surveyed,
Feared by all creatures, his power never swayed.
One day, a fox came trotting by, sleek and wise,
With cunning eyes and a sly grin, she did devise.
She saw the lion, mighty and grand,
And knew she must tread carefully in his land.
The lion saw her approach, with caution in her gait,
And with a roar, he demanded to know her fate.
The fox bowed low, her tail tucked in submission,
And spoke with honeyed words, no hint of suspicion.
"I come in peace, oh noble king,
I seek only to offer you my cunning."
The lion raised an eyebrow, intrigued by her boldness,
And listened as she spun tales of cleverness.
Impressed by her wit and charm so bright,
The lion agreed to let her stay in his sight.
Together they roamed the savannah wide,
The lion's strength and the fox's guile side by side.
And so they forged an unlikely bond,
The lion and the fox, fierce and fond.
For in the wild, where danger lurks and shadows creep,
It takes both strength and cunning to survive and keep.

Good work. I would use this to read to young children at story time to introduce that poetry can be used as stories.
Ah, what a lovely story and partnership (if only). Nice job!
