The Light Trap

The Secrets of New Age

We seek the light without knowing what the light is.

Like moths to a flame, but we think that it’s enlightenment.

How do we discern when it’s through a human filter?

Or through some kind of teaching that could be out of kilter.

It seems until we hit that flame we haven’t learned our lesson.

And every step along the way’s like spiritual confession.

We lighten up our load as we move toward higher progression.

And if we lose ourselves along the way it’s not seen as regression?

Is it ok now that we’ve found the pure and blinding light?

I can’t see a thing, but somehow it feels right?

The pain from being here is actually a good thing?

Just dive in deeper and keep seeking to see what else the light brings?

I think that there’s a difference between torture and growing pains.

Do we truly need spiritual masochism or could we just refrain?

Growth isn’t measured by your ability to suffer.

It’s measured by your ability to love one another.

Is it light, or is it love, and is it in its balance?

Is it might, or from above? It’s constantly a challenge.

Knowing all the answers still doesn’t make you right.

Careful with each step you take toward the bearer of the light.
