A Journey of Hope and Redemption

A Journey of Hope and Redemption

The train whistled in the distance.

Its sound a reminder of her persistence

To leave the past behind, start anew.

And find the courage to follow through.

She clutched her bag, heart pounding.

Her fate uncertain, the future confounding

But she knew she had to take this chance.

To escape her past, leave it in the past tense.

The train screeched to a halt; doors open wide.

She stepped aboard, seeking a place to hide.

Her seat was empty, no one in sight.

She settled in, taking in the fading light.

As the train moved, the world outside blurred.

Memories of her past, now left unheard.

She gazed out the window, lost in thought.

Wondering if she could truly start anew, as she sought.

The train reached its destination, she stepped off.

Breathing in the fresh air, no longer lost

She walked forward, eyes fixed ahead.

Ready to begin her journey of hope and redemption instead.
