The Last Dance

Love and Loss

In shadows deep where silence dwells,
Where whispers faint of twilight tells,
A journey ends, yet who can say,
If death is night, or birth of day?

A breath, a pause, a fleeting sigh,
As moments pass, we live, we die,
But in that stillness, soft and deep,
Perhaps we wake from endless sleep.

I recall the days, the laughter shared,
The tender moments when hearts were bared,
Now memories, like echoes, fade,
Yet love endures, though light may shade.

Your voice, a whisper in the wind,
Reminds me of the ties that bind,
Though you are gone, your spirit stays,
Guiding me through the darkest days.

In the silence, tears may fall,
Grief's heavy weight, I feel it all,
Yet in that grief, a love so pure,
A testament that will endure.

I walk the paths we once both trod,
Now facing life with you as guide,
In dreams, you come, a beacon bright,
A comfort in the darkest night.

For in the darkness, stars may gleam,
And in my heart, a hopeful dream,
That though we part from mortal shore,
The soul, unfettered, soars once more.

To realms unknown, on winds we glide,
Beyond the bounds of time and tide,
In death, perhaps, a sweet release,
A chance to find eternal peace.

Your absence leaves a void, so vast,
Yet love transcends the shadows cast,
I cherish all the moments shared,
In death's embrace, our hearts bared.

So fear not death, nor dread its call,
For in its clasp, we rise, not fall,
An end, a start, a door ajar,
Death is but a distant star.

In life, in death, love's light remains,
Through joy, through sorrow, and through pain,
A bond unbroken, strong and true,
I carry on, inspired by you.

Though death may part us for a time,
Your essence lingers, so sublime,
In every dawn, in every breeze,
Your presence brings my heart to ease.

In shadows deep where silence dwells,
A love like ours, no death dispels,
For in that love, I find my way,
Through night, through dawn, to a new day.
