"Hey; how've you been? I mean, are you doing okay?"
"Well, yeah, for sure; but you keep acting like you've got more to say..."
"I did...I do! But I just need a few more minutes of your time..."
"Okay; like, sitting and talking was never a CRIME!"
"Not at work; not here. I meant another time and place."
"...What if my answer is, and I say this with love, GIVE ME SOME SPACE!"
"Okay; I understand that and I apologize for before..."
"...I've got work to do here; give me one good reason not to show you the door."
"...Are we friends?"
"Of course we are; THAT isn't about to end!"
"...Then isn't THAT reasoning good enough for you?"
"...Okay; you got me. THAT much is true."
"Look; I'm about to walk here and now. Just let me know of a better time to talk..."
"...Okay; I'll think about it. Enjoy your walk."
(I turn to leave and...)
"...Hey, buddy?"
"...You rang for me, lovey?"
"Thanks for your patience. Your efforts have been seen."
"...My friend, I can't thank you enough for your patience with me."
"...I'm sure I'll see you soon; and we WILL talk. Love ya, bud."
"...and I haven't forgotten my appreciation for YOU, my love..."
