The Inverted dreamland

Where darkness is embraced as light

In the world of dreams, where reality is suspended

Night whispers become, a contradictory curse

As illusions weave their trickery, and time is transcended

A universe inverted, where souls can immerse

Embracing the darkness that's hidden behind the light.

The beauty of twilight as it begins to fade

There is a mystery behind the unknown within the night,

Where the forces of evil are on parade

A paradox most ominous and chilling

Where nothing is really as it seems

To some this inverted world is thrilling

Many love the land of endless nightmare dreams

I like the use of dreams and nightmares to neatly contrast with reality, and this is written beautifully. “ Embracing the darkness that's hidden behind the light. The beauty of twilight as it begins to fade” is a great set of lines to anchor the middle, and some lovely imagery. Nicely done 👏

This world is where I live. Dreams, nightmares and fantasies. I love the journey of this poem. I became a part of the dream. Really enjoyed reading this poem Cheryl. Beautifully done.
