the importance of your love didn’t reach me

Your love didn’t teach me

Your love didn’t welcome me the way your uterus did

You shaped me

You grew me

You held me for 9 months arms free With no space to breathe

You birthed me

Then desert me

The importance of your love is everything

The importance of your love meant treating me like the rest

The importance of your love would of been the best

The importance of your love could of been a vest

A vest from the world and it’s hateful bullets they torn me to pieces with no remorse I’m shooketh

I look to you and I feel nothing I feel empty emotions I feel but I don’t feel

Because the importance of your love never felt the need to fill me because you thought I wasn’t important enough for your love to see you.
