"The Haunted House"

It was a dark and stormy night when Sarah and her friends decided to explore the abandoned mansion on the outskirts of town. The old house had been deserted for years and was rumored to be haunted by the ghost of the former owner who had died under mysterious circumstances.

As they entered the house, they were immediately struck by a sense of unease. The creaky floorboards and flickering lights only added to the eerie atmosphere. Sarah's friends quickly became frightened and wanted to leave, but Sarah was determined to explore further.

As they made their way through the dimly lit rooms, they began to hear strange noises coming from upstairs. Footsteps echoed through the halls, and doors creaked open and shut on their own. Sarah's heart raced as she realized they were not alone in the house.

Suddenly, a cold breeze swept through the room, and Sarah felt a hand brush against her neck. She turned around, but no one was there. Her friends were too frightened to speak, and Sarah knew they needed to leave the house immediately.

As they ran towards the exit, the doors slammed shut, trapping them inside. The ghostly apparition of the former owner appeared before them, and Sarah knew they were in grave danger.

With quick thinking, Sarah grabbed a nearby candle and lit it, hoping to ward off the ghost with its light. As they made their way through the dark house, the ghost pursued them, causing objects to move and doors to slam shut.

Finally, they made it to the front door, but it was jammed shut. With one final effort, Sarah pushed with all her strength, and the door creaked open. They stumbled out into the rain and turned to see the ghostly figure disappear into the night.

From that day on, Sarah and her friends never spoke of their experience in the haunted house again. But they all knew that they had come face to face with the supernatural, and that they were lucky to have escaped with their lives."

The End.
