The world is split in two, divided by wealth

The rich get richer, while the poor struggle for health

A system that's rigged, with power in the hands

Of those who already have it all, with no demands

The great divide, it's growing wider

With every passing day, it's harder to abide

The world is changing, but for whom?

The consequences of inequality loom

From the streets of New York, to the favelas of Brazil

People are struggling, with no hope for a better deal

The power of money, it's all that matters

Leaving those with nothing, to pick up the tatters

The great divide, it's growing wider

With every passing day, it's harder to abide

The world is changing, but for whom?

The consequences of inequality loom

Education, healthcare, housing and more

Are all in the hands of those who are able to score

The best for themselves, at the cost of the rest

Leaving the world to wonder, who's really the best?

The great divide, it's growing wider

With every passing day, it's harder to abide

The world is changing, but for whom?

The consequences of inequality loom

We need to stand up, to make our voice heard

To demand equality, to take back what's occurred

We can't wait for others, to make the change we need

It's up to us to act, to plant the seed

The great divide, it's growing wider

With every passing day, it's harder to abide

The world is changing, but for whom?

The consequences of inequality loom

It's time for action, it's time to unite

To fight for a future that's equal, that's right

The world may be divided, but we can make a change

And create a world where equality is no longer out of range.

This is a great poem, I am surprised it doesn't get the reads it deserves.
