I miss you. I will
Always miss you.
And I am okay with that;
I have learnt that
In order to feel love—even
Though we never called it that—
You must also fee pain.
So I’ll miss you tonight,
And I’ll miss you when the moon
Reflects the sun, and
I’ll miss you when raindrops
Dance on the back of
My neck, the way your fingers
Used to. But I’ll embrace it.
I’ll be aware of your absence
So that, one day, when I
Or someone else fills that absence,
I will feel utter blissful elation.

Jade Domone
Writing has always been one of my favourite things to do- from stories to essays to poetry. As I'm starting university in September '17, I thought it would be a good idea to take this opportunity to try and make funding myself easier.
