The Dreamer

I love the idea of magic!

I wish it were real.

But who am I to say it’s not?

Some say magic comes in a feeling,

One that it is like no other,

Like in love or in a kiss,

More powerful than any other.

Like when you share an amazing kiss,

Like the ones you see in the movies

That takes your breath away,

But even still no matter what

You don’t want the moment to go away.

In small fear that the magic

Won’t come back again.

I experienced this but once,

A very long time ago

And even now I wonder was it really magic,

Or maybe just a spark?

I want that feeling back

This time even stronger

And then I’ll know if magic truly exists

And believe just a little longer.
