Oh Earth, why must you be so consumed?

By wars, pollution and strife

As if there's some grand sinister plan

That has darkened our life

We take and take and take again

Your giving spirit never ceases

But when will this age of destruction end?

Fading to nothingness

Our love for you has been replaced

With greed and selfishness

And slowly in the deep dark night

Your beauty looms less

Oh Earth, don't give in to despair

Your strength lies in our hands

Let us find a way to revive you

Along with this broken land

The stars we cannot see

Now hidden in this fog

The signs of destruction ever-clearer

It will endure, that's what we fear

The cracks in the ozone layer

The smog so thick we can't think

Our planet is slowly becoming a place

Where we ourselves can no longer face

Our negligence is life threatening

Our destruction its own cost

In this battle for a brighter future

Let us take back what we've lost

Though we can see the damage done

We still can find ways to heal

Let's work together to save this earth

From our own self-made hell.
