The Conversation

<Albeit One-Sided>

Literally a picture of my pocket

Whether youre ready or hesitating

I could put you in your place

Feed machines and breathe the greed

Repeat it day by day

Tethering the eloquent to hide it under a mask

Got me in the twilight zone and theres time enough at last

But with broken glasses

As if it is an additional twist take from what I've manifested with a smile and handshake mixing perpetuous effervescence

This would be fine if I could just keep what is mine but if you bring back the past that's click clack and bye bye

There used to time, to listen with patience

You used to rewind. Sit and flip thru the stations

Dont look in my eyes because you wont find a way out of them

It used to be fine to feel like your basic

Wed stay inside and youd be amazed at

The places you hide and deep in the basement

Escaping my mind on the paper we wasted when

I could just stand here and pour

My heart onto pages before you

Youd just say

"Quit pacing the way of the floor, you can't be changing the world because you wont walk this way"
